Shelly Diann Daiss Weaver, Age 60, passed peacefully surrounded by her family on June 17, 2017. Shelly was born January 6, 1957 to Jack & Jane Daiss in Casper, Wyoming. She graduated from Permian High School in 1975, received her Bachelor Degree in Education from the University of Texas at Austin in 1979, and then her Master Degree from Texas Women's University in 1982. Shelly Diann Daiss Weaver, Age 60, passed peacefully surrounded by her family on June 17, 2017. Shelly was born January 6, 1957 to Jack & Jane Daiss in Casper, Wyoming. She graduated from Permian High School in 1975, received her Bachelor Degree in Education from the University of Texas at Austin in 1979, and then her Master Degree from Texas Women's University in 1982. In May 2000 Shelly received her Nursing Degree. She married John Mark Weaver in 1979 and has three children, Holly, Joshua & John. Shelly was a lifelong student, a teacher for ECISD and later in life found her passion as a nurse. She was an avid reader, loved to ski, collect rocks, and travel. She was a 2nd degree Black Belt in Tae-Kwon-Do, but her pride and joy were her three grandchildren. Shelly grew up in the Lutheran Church of The Risen Lord and later transferred to First United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, John Mark Weaver, her (3) children, Holly Weaver, Josh Weaver and his wife Brittany, John Weaver and his wife Cortney, (3) grandchildren, Jaylee, Brayson, and Barrett, her father, Jack Daiss, sister, Suzanne and her husband, Kelly and their children, Kendra and Noah Krietsch, her aunt Darlene and husband Phil Armstrong, also extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins whom live out of state. Shelly was preceded in death by her grandmother, Molly Daiss, her mother, Jane Daiss, and her youngest sister, Jackie Daiss. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon Thursday, June 22, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, Family and Youth Ministry, Odessa, TX. Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
